Biography: Swann Arlaud is a French actor who has received multiple César Awards. His work in Bloody Milk (2017) and the film By the Grace of God (2019) has been particularly acclaimed.

Swann Arlaud grew up in an artistic environment, influenced by his parents, Yan Arlaud and Tatiana Vialle, who worked in production design and acting respectively. His further artistic lineage traces back to grandparents Max Vialle and Sonia Laroze.

Arlaud first gained attention for his roles in Romantics Anonymous (2010), The Wakhan Front (2015) and achieved critical acclaim for Bloody Milk (2017). His performances in By the Grace of God (2019) and Anatomy of a Fall (2023) earned him Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the César Awards (2018, 2020, and 2024, respectively).

In addition to acting, Arlaud explored directing with short films such as Venerman (2016) and Zorey (2021). He co-wrote these films with his mother, Tatiana Vialle, and saw Zorey premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2021.

Outside of his professional work, Arlaud has a son with Sarah Boutin. He collaborated with Boutin, a French cinematographer, on Venerman.
