Biography: Alec Baldwin is an American actor, comedian, and producer who has won three Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards, among other honors. He has worked in film, television, and theater, with iconic roles ranging from 30 Rock (2006-2013) to his impersonation of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live (2016-2021).

One of seven siblings, Baldwin initially enrolled at George Washington University, then transferred to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University to focus on acting. He joined the Actors Studio and earned his BFA in 1994.

Baldwin's on-screen debut was on the television soap The Doctors (1980-1982), which later led to his breakout role on Knots Landing (1984-1986). He debuted on Broadway with Loot (1986) and performed in movies such as Beetlejuice (1988) and The Hunt for Red October (1990).

During the 1990s and early 2000s, Baldwin continued with performances in films including The Getaway (1994) and The Shadow (1994), as well as receiving critical praise for The Aviator (2004).

He revisited Broadway, securing a Tony nomination for his turn in A Streetcar Named Desire (1992). His made his directorial debut with The Devil and Daniel Webster (2004), and was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Cooler (2003).

Returning to television, Baldwin achieved great success on 30 Rock (2006-2013) and took home several awards for his performance. He remained active in cinema, appearing in The Departed (2006) and the Mission: Impossible series (2011-present). His portrayal of Donald Trump on SNL (2016-2021) earned him a Primetime Emmy. Additionally, he began hosting Match Game in 2016 and started a production company with a deal at ABC Studios.

Baldwin experienced legal turmoil, however, after discharging a prop gun on the set of Rust (2021), resulting in the accidental death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Initially, the charges of involuntary manslaughter were dropped, but he was reindicted in January 2024 as investigations continued.

Dedicated to philanthropic efforts, Baldwin established a cancer research fund in honor of his mother and supported various charitable causes. He married Kim Basinger in 1993, and they had a daughter before divorcing in 2002. Baldwin married Hilaria Thomas in 2012, and they have seven children together.
