Biography: Al López was a Spanish-American baseball catcher, nicknamed "El Señor," who played for the Brooklyn Robins, Boston Bees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cleveland Indians. Over his career, López was a two-time All-Star.
After retiring as an active player, López served as a manager for the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox. His winning percentage for this period as manager was fourth-best in league history.
López was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977.
