Biography:Albert Finney was an English actor who came to fame with his film debut in The Entertainer (1960), which was directed by Tony Richardson. Subsequently Finney, having previously worked in theatre, became known for his many film roles.
Finney was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor four times: Tom Jones (1963), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Dresser (1983), and Under the Volcano (1984). He won a BAFTA, Golden Globe, and an Emmy.
