Biography: Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer-songwriter who started out uploading covers to YouTube. She came to mainstream fame with her debut single "Here" in 2015, and released her debut studio album Know-It-All in that same year.

Both the album and single charted in Canada and the United States, with "Here" reaching number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She followed this up with various collaborations, with Zedd on the single "Stay" (2017) and with Khalid on Logic's "1-800-273-8255" (2017).

Her success has led to four Grammy nominations, of which she won Best New Artist in 2018. She was also nominated in the 2019 Latin Grammys for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, based on her work with Juanes on the song "Querer Mejor" (2019).
