Biography: Alex Puccio an American rock climber best known as one of America's most accomplished female bouldering competitors. She has competed in bouldering at the World Cup, the Climbing World Championship, and the American Bouldering Series—the latter of which she has won 11 times.

Starting her climbing journey in 2002 when she was thirteen, Puccio quickly discovered her aptitude for the sport. Within four years, she took her first U.S. Bouldering Championships title in 2006, marking the beginning of a distinguished competitive career.

Her consistent performance thereafter ensured her a place as a finalist in many IFSC Bouldering World Cup events. Puccio has also been involved in outdoor climbing in United States and Europe, where she tackled countless high-difficulty boulder problems.

Among her outdoor achievements are the completion of over two dozen boulders rated V12 (8A+) and first female ascents of various V13 (8B) and V14 (8B+) routes. Puccio's 2014 ascent of Jade affixed her status as the fourth woman to complete a V14 climb. That same year brought her silver at the Boulder World Championship in Munich.

Puccio's career faced a significant hurdle in 2015, however, when a knee injury threatened her climbing future. By October that year she had returned to climbing at a high level, tackling V13 problems once again. She also underwent spinal fusion surgery for a herniated disk in 2016.
