Biography: Amy Lee is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for Evanescence. She has also composed the soundtracks to War Story (2014) and, alongside Dave Eggar, Indigo Grey: The Passage (2015).

Lee founded Evanescence with guitarist Ben Moody in 1995 after meeting a year earlier at a Christian youth camp. After a series of EPs and demoes, the band released their debut album Fallen in 2003. Moody left the band midway through their tour after tensions between the two grew insurmountable.
