Biography: Amy Schumer is an American stand-up comedian and actress, whose career began with the fifth season of Last Comic Standing in 2007. She went on to have her own shown on Comedy Central, called Inside Amy Schumer (2013-2016).

Schumer's Comedy Central show was nominated for five Emmy Awards, of which it won the award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015. She subsequently made her film debut with Trainwreck (2015), which she wrote and produced herself.

Schumer has also written a memoir, titled The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, that was published in 2016 and topped the New York Times Best Seller list for non-fiction for two weeks.
