Biography: Brian Cox is a Scottish actor who is classically trained in the Shakespearean tradition but has also performed major roles in film and television. Most recently he has played Logan Roy in the series Succession since 2018, for which role he has received a Golden Globe and been nominated for an Emmy.

Cox began his career on the stage, where he was renowned for his performances in King Lear and Titus Andronicus. He has since starred in a large number of major films, including The Bourne Identity (2002), Zodiac (2007), Coriolanus (2011), and Churchill (2017).
