Biography: Brooks Koepka is an American professional golfer who first gained recognition with back-to-back U.S. Open wins in 2017 and 2018. He replicated this achievement in the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019, and has since spent time as world number one.

Koepka began his golf career at Florida State University, where as an Amateur he had three event wins and was a three-time All-American. In 2012, Koepka turned professional, starting out on the European Challenge Tour. He took his first professional win at the Challenge de Catalunya in 2012 and earned a European Tour card the following year after three Challenge Tour victories.

Koepka's ascent accelerated with a PGA Tour win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2015. His major breakout, however, came with his 2017 U.S. Open victory—and he successfully defended this title in 2018, a feat not achieved since 1989 by Curtis Strange. Koepka then continued with wins at the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019.

While he was ranked number one in the world in October 2018, Koepka's also faced challenges with injuries, including wrist surgery and struggles with hip and knee pains, which led to knee surgery in March 2021. Despite this, he nevertheless joined the LIV Golf Invitational Series in 2022 and won at LIV Golf events in October 2022 and 2023.

Koepka's personal life garnered public interest with his engagement to Jena Sims in 2021, their subsequent marriage in 2022, and the announcement of their expecting a child together. His great uncle Dick Groat was an Major League Baseball player.
