Biography: Chen is one of the most popular celebrities in China, with an active following of over 90 million people on Weibo, one of China's most popular social networking websites.

He first came to prominence in the TV dramas Love Story in Shanghai and The Story of a Noble Family. International roles which gave him fame overseas include The Knot and Painted Skin.

His singing career began in 2004 with his debut album Osmosis. He then released his second album Make It Come True Again in 2006 and his third album Mystery & Me in 2009.
