Biography: Claire Trevor made her name in films initially as gun-moll type characters and appearing in such westerns as "Stagecoach" (1939) with John Wayne.

Later she became more famous for her film noir performances in such productions as "Key largo" (1948) for which she won an Academy Award.

Trevor also won an Emmy for her role in Dodsworth (1956).
