Biography: Cuba Gooding Jr. is an American actor who first came to fame with Boyz n the Hood (1991) after which he starred in several major films including Jerry Maguire (1996), for he received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Subsequently Gooding starred in Men of Honor (2000) and Pearl Harbour (2001). He continued to play a variety of roles in major films including American Gangster (2007) and Selma (2014).

More recently Gooding played O. J. Simpson in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story (2016). He received an Emmy award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
