Biography: Dianne Wiest is an American actress who first gained prominence in the 1980s, appearing in several Woody Allen films, including Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and Radio Days (1987).

Wiest received her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and won the same award again for her performance in Bullets over Broadway (1994), also directed by Woody Allen.

In addition to her film work, Dianne Wiest has had a successful career in television, appearing in shows such as Law & Order and In Treatment. Her performance in the latter earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2008.
