Biography: Dolores O’Riordan was an Irish singer and songwriter, best known as lead vocalist and lyricist for the Cranberries. The band earned worldwide fame with their hit single, "Zombie," in 1994. The song was inspired by the Troubles, the conflict in Northern Ireland from the late 1960s to 1998, in which more than 3,500 people were killed.

The Cranberries released a total of eight studio albums, first coming to fame in 1993 with their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? They followed this with No Need to Argue, which featured "Zombie" and was their best-selling album. O'Riordan also released two solo albums, one in 2007 and the other in 2009.
