Roberts started in films in 1968, starring in the "Honeymoon Killers" (1969), "Rabbit Test" (1978), "Simple Justice" (1989) and many more. Over her acting career, she received five Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild award.

She is probably most famous though for her role in "Everybody Loves Raymond" as Raymond Barone's mother, Marie Barone.
