Biography: A descendant of the Barrymore family of well-known American stage and cinema actors, and the granddaughter of film legend John Barrymore, she first appeared in an advertisement when she was eleven months old, before starring in her breakout role in Steven Spielberg's "E.T.".

Subsequently, she established herself in romantic comedies such as "The Wedding Singer" and later, "50 First Dates", both opposite Adam Sandler. She went on to star in a number of high profile films including the Charlie's Angles film reboots, opposite Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz, which she also produced.

Barrymore has been critically acclaimed for a number of her roles; in 2009 she won a Best Actress Golden Globe award for the TV "Grey Gardens". In 2020 she debuted her syndicated talk show "The Drew Barrymore Show" .
