Biography: The First black person to play a game in the National Basketball Association, when he debuted for the Washington Capitols in the 1950-51 NBA season.

Lloyd later played a major part in helping the Syracuse Nationals win the NBA Championship in 1955. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
