Biography: Fernando Alonso is a Spanish racing driver who won the World Drivers' Championship titles in 2005 and 2006 with the Renault team, breaking several records along the way including becoming the youngest double world champion.

After his initial championship successes, Alonso had stints with multiple F1 teams including McLaren and Ferrari, although he couldn't secure additional championships. His time with Ferrari was particularly noteworthy for the strong performances and near-misses that characterized this phase of his career.

Aside from his F1 career, Alonso has also participated in other racing events, notably the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the latter of which he won in 2018 and 2019. He took a brief hiatus from Formula 1, but returned in 2021 with the Alpine team.
