Biography: Fred Funk is an American professional golfer who won the PGA Tour 8 times and now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He is best known for winning the 2005 Players Championship, for which he was the oldest winner at 48 years, 9 months, and 14 days.

Funk has also represented the United States in the Presidents Cup (2003, 2005) and the Ryder Cup (2004). He also won the JELD-WEN Tradition in 2008 and the U.S. Senior Open in 2009.

While Funk has a short drive, his driving accuracy was consistently ranked best during his time on the PGA Tour; setting the record for seven seasons and being within the top five for every year but one.
