Biography: Considered one of the world's best football strikers, Harry Kane continues to set goalscoring records throughout his career.
Debuting for Tottenham Hotspur in 2009, Kane became the club's highest-ever goalscorer by 2023. In that year he transferred to German club Bayern Munich, setting a record transfer fee of €100 million (£86.4m) for the German league.
While at Tottenham Kane won the Premier League's s award for top goalscorer in a year - the Golden Boot, three times in 2015–16, 2016–17 and 2020–21.
Kane's international career has been equally successful; he made his debut for England in 2015 and rose to be appointed captain of the team in 2018 for the FIFA World Cup. England achieved fourth place and Kane was awarded the Golden Boot as the competition's highest goalscorer, and the first English player to win it since Gary Lineker in 1986.
In 2020 Kane led the English team to the finals of the Euro Cup, before the team lost to Italy 1-1 on penalties. In the FIFA 2022 World Cup Kane equalled Wayne Rooney's record of 53 goals scored for England, then overtook it in 2023.
