Biography:Lynch was an Irish Politician that served as Taoiseach from 1966 to 1973, then 1977 to 1979. This was the height of many political roles in which Lynch had served, including: Leader of the Opposition (1973-1977), Minister of Education (1957-1959), etc.
Prior to his political career, Lynch was a successful Gaelic sportsman—playing Gaelic football (1936-1946) and hurling (1936-1950). Particularly in his hurling career, he won five All-Ireland titles.
