Biography: Jackie Joyner-Kersee is an American track and field athlete, best known for her performance in the heptathlon and long jump. She won a total of six medals over four Olympic Games in her career: three gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Joyner-Kersee is now known as a philanthropist, and is still regarded as an inspiration for having overcome asthma to succeed in athletics. She was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
