Biography: Kathy Griffin is an American comedian, actress, and television host. She is known for her stand-up comedy which often includes candid discussions of celebrities and her personal life. Griffin starred in the reality show "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" and has released several comedy albums, winning a Grammy Award.

Griffin moved from Illinois to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She joined The Groundlings comedy troupe and began performing stand-up comedy. Her television appearances in the 1990s included roles on shows like Suddenly Susan (1996-2000).
