Biography: Kaya Scodelario is a British actress who first came to fame as Effy Stonem in the TV series "Skins" (2007-2010, 2013), which she was cast in at age 14 with no prior acting experience. Scodelario has since starred in major film franchises like "The Maze Runner" series (2014-2018) and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" (2017).

Scodelario grew up in London with her Brazilian mother, Katia Scodelario, after her parents divorced when she was a baby. Despite facing bullying and her mother's struggles with depression, Scodelario found an escape in acting. Her breakout role in "Skins" earned her critical acclaim and launched her career.

Scodelario has performed across genres, from her film debut in "Moon" (2009) to roles in "Clash of the Titans" (2010), "Wuthering Heights" (2011), "Crawl" (2019), "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" (2019), and "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" (2021).

In her personal life, Scodelario began dating American actor Benjamin Walker in 2014, and they married in 2015. The couple had a son in 2016 and a daughter in 2021 before separating in 2024.
