Biography: Nikki Haley is an American politician, best known for her time serving as governor of South Carolina (2011-2017) and as United States ambassador to the United Nations (2017-2018). She also served three terms in the South Carolina House of Representatives (2004-2010).
Haley was the first female governor of South Carolina and the youngest governor in the country, as well as the second governor of Indian descent. She served as ambassador to the UN until 2018 when she decided to step down voluntarily.
More recently, Haley has announced her campaign for the Republican presidential primary in 2024.
