Biography: Ramin Djawadi is an Iranian-German film score composer, best known for his work on the HBO series, Game of Thrones, and its prequel, House of the Dragon. He was nominated for a Grammy Award for his work on Game of Throne threes times: in 2009, 2018, and 2020. He won two Emmy Awards for Game of Thrones (2018, 2019).

Djawadi has also worked on a number of major films, including Iron Man (2008), starring Robert Downey Jr., and Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim (2013). Alongside this he has done further work for television shows such as Prison Break, Person of Interest, and Westworld, as well as various video games.

Starting out at Berklee College of Music, Djawadi was recruited by Hans Zimmer to work at Remote Control Productions. He then served as an assistant to Klaus Badelt and working for Zimmer for several years prior to coming to prominence in his own right.
