Biography: Adam Driver is an American actor who came to fame as with his role on the television series Girls, which garnered him significant recognition and three Emmy nominations. His cinematic body of work is extensive, including roles in Lincoln (2012), Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), and Paterson (2016).

Driver became a household name playing Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy and received Academy Award nominations for his work in BlacKkKlansman (2018) and Marriage Story (2019). In addition, he founded Arts in the Armed Forces, a non-profit dedicated to providing entertainment and enrichment for U.S. military personnel.

After his parents divorced, Driver was raised in Mishawaka, Indiana. His passion for acting surfaced in high school, but it wasn't until after a stint in sales and enlistment in the Marines post-9/11 that he would pursue it professionally.

Due to a biking accident, Driver was medically discharged from the military, leading him to study acting, initially at the University of Indianapolis and later at the prestigious Juilliard School, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2009.

Driver's career began in New York City, with performances in Broadway and off-Broadway productions. He made his film debut with a minor role in J. Edgar (2011) and shortly after had his breakout moment with the role of Adam Sackler in Girls (2012-2017), leading to critical recognition.

He has since collaborated with respected directors such as Steven Spielberg and the Coen Brothers—namely, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen—particularly earning acclaim for his performance in Hungry Hearts (2014), which resulted in the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.

Stepping into the role of Kylo Ren brought Driver widespread fame and mainstream success. He has also been lauded for nuanced characters in films such as Silence (2016) and Paterson. Returning to Broadway, his performance in Burn This (2019) garnered a Tony nomination.

In his subsequent work, Driver has pursued challenging roles, appearing in Ridley Scott's The Last Duel (2021) and House of Gucci (2021) and portraying Enzo Ferrari in Ferrari (2023).

Driver and his wife, Joanne Tucker, have two children and maintain a quiet family life in Brooklyn Heights. He is known for maintaining his privacy, as well as his unusual habit of not watching his own performances.
