Biography: Agnes Moorehead was an American actress best known her role as Endora on Bewitched. Over the course of her career, Moorehead won a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globes, as well as being nominated for four Academy Awards.

After earning a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in English and public speaking, Moorehead initially found the acting profession unstable. She found success upon moving to radio, however, and her work there caught the attention of the theatre and film industries.

In 1937, Moorehead joined the Mercury Players, led by Orson Welles, marking a significant turning point in her career. Her film debut in Citizen Kane (1941) and her performance in The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) established her as a respected actress.

She received Academy Award nominations for The Magnificent Ambersons (1942), Mrs. Parkington (1944), Johnny Belinda (1948), and Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964).

Moorehead's roles on radio also showcased her talent, especially in Sorry, Wrong Number (1943). She then transitioned to television, becoming widely known for her role on Bewitched (1964-1972), earning six Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
