Biography: Christopher Meloni is an American actor known for his work in both television and film. He gained prominence for his role as Detective Elliot Stabler on the long-running NBC crime drama series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999-2011, 2021-present), for which he earned an Emmy nomination.

In addition to his work on Law & Order: SVU, Meloni starred in the HBO prison drama Oz (1998-2003) as Chris Keller and played Roman Zimojic in the supernatural drama True Blood (2012-2013). He has also appeared in films such as Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Man of Steel (2013), and 42 (2013).
