Biography: Courtney Walsh is a former Jamaican cricket who played for the West Indies from 1984 to 2001 and captained the team in 22 Test matches. He is known as one of the all-time greatest fast bowlers, in particular for his partnership with Curtly Ambrose.

Walsh held the record for most Test wickets from 2000, when he broke the record of Kapil Dev, until 2004, when his own record was broken by Shane Warne. Walsh was also the first bowler to reach 500 Test wickets.

In 2010, Walsh was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He now serves as the bowling coach for the Bangladesh men's national cricket team.
