Biography: West Indian cricketer Viv Richards is considered one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He played for the West Indies from 1974 to 1991 and is one of the most prolific run-scorers in Test and ODI cricket.

Richards was known for his aggressive batting style. He was also a brilliant fielder and was named one of Wisden's Cricketers of the Century in 2000.

Richards played a major role in the West Indies' domination of world cricket in the 1970s and 1980s. He was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2013.
