Biography: Hogg rose to prominence after surviving a mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida on February 14, 2018, in which 17 people were killed.
The shooting sparked a national debate on gun control in the United States, and Hogg and other students from the school became prominent activists campaigning for changes to the gun laws. Hogg and others founded the activist group Never Again MSD shortly after the shooting.
As a result of his activism Hogg has been targeted with conspiracy theories and accusations from right-wing elements.
