Biography: Evan Rachel Wood is an American actress best known for her roles in Thirteen (2003), The Wrestler (2008), and Westworld (2016–2022), as well as her advocacy for survivors of sexual assault. She has won a Critics' Choice Television Award and has been nominated for Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

Wood was born into an artistic family and began acting as a child, with early roles in both theater and television, including American Gothic (1995–96) and Once and Again (1999–2002). She debuted in movies with Digging to China (1997) and earned critical attention for her role in Thirteen (2003).

Her career progressed with roles in independent films such as Pretty Persuasion (2005) and Across the Universe (2007). Later, she appeared in mainstream projects like The Ides of March (2011) and voiced a character in Frozen II (2019). On television, she gained acclaim for her performances in True Blood (2009–2011) and Mildred Pierce (2011).

Apart from acting, Wood formed the electro-pop duo Rebel and a Basketcase in 2016 and a cover band Evan + Zane in 2018. Wood has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song "Show Yourself" from Frozen II.

Wood's advocacy work includes efforts to support legislative changes for domestic violence survivors. She testified before Congress and the California State Senate.

On a personal front, Wood has a son with actor Jamie Bell and has made headlines for her relationship and subsequent allegations against Marilyn Manson. In 2021, Wood named Manson as her alleged abuser. The allegations became the subject of the docuseries Phoenix Rising (2022) and are under investigation by law enforcement.
