Biography: Florence Pugh is an English actress who came to fame with her performance in the 2014 drama film The Falling alongside Maisie Williams. She also received critical acclaim for her performance in the independent drama Lady Macbeth (2016).

These set the stage for her breakout year in 2019, with three major films: the wrestling film Fighting with My Family, alongside Dwayne Johnson; the horror film Midsommar; and in Greta Gerwig's adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel Little Women. The latter earned her nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress, and at the 2019 Cannes Film festival she was awarded the Trophée Chopard prize for young actors.

Since then, she has gone on to star in a number of major films: particularly Black Widow (2021) with Scarlett Johansson and Don't Worry Darling (2022) alongside Harry Styles. Pugh has most recently starred Jean Tatlock in Christopher Nolan's science history smash-hit Oppenheimer (2023).
