Biography:After starting at the company aged 20, Harlow Curtice rose to become President of General Motors (GM), serving from 1953 to 1958.
Under his leadership General Motors sold five million vehicles and became the first corporation to earn US$1 billion in a single year in 1955. A feat that saw Curtice named Time magazine's person of the year in 1955.
