Biography: Ivan Reitman was a Czechoslovak-born Canadian who worked in film and television as a director, producer, and screenwriter. He directed a number of major comedy films in the 1980s and 1990s, including "Ghostbusters" (1984), "Twins" (1988), and "Dave" (1993).
Reitman was also a producer alongside his directing work, including "Animal House" (1978), "Beethoven" (1992), and "Space Jam" (1996).
He also founded The Montecito Picture Company in 1998.
