Biography: Jaclyn Smith is an American actress and businesswoman best known for her role as Kelly Garrett in the television series Charlie's Angels (1976–1981). After acting she transitioning into business, establishing a long-standing partnership with Kmart.
Smith started in the entertainment industry with roles in Goodbye, Columbus (1969) and The Adventurers (1970). She became a household name through Charlie's Angels (1976–1981) and was the only original female lead to remain for the entire series.
Later in her career, Smith would return in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) and Charlie's Angels (2019). She also took on roles in various TV films like Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (1981), for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination.
In 1985, Smith branched out into the business world, creating a women's apparel line for Kmart. Her brand expanded to include home furnishings and a collection of wigs, setting a precedent in celebrity-branded retail.
Smith married four times, with her current marriage to Brad Allen since 1997. She has two children with Tony Richmond and is a breast cancer survivor, featured in the documentary 1 a Minute (2010).
