Biography: Jeff Bridges is an American actor known for his prolific career spanning over seven decades, during which period he has been a Hollywood fixture with enduring roles as both a leading man and supporting actor.

Bridges was born into an acting family, with his father Lloyd Bridges and brother Beau Bridges also being actors. He had his breakthrough role in "The Last Picture Show" (1971), which earned him his first Academy Award nomination at age 22. He went on to receive a total of seven Oscar nominations, winning Best Actor for his performance as a struggling country music singer in "Crazy Heart" (2009).

Some of Bridges' most iconic roles include The Dude in the cult classic comedy "The Big Lebowski" (1998), Rooster Cogburn in the western "True Grit" (2010), and Kevin Flynn in the sci-fi films "Tron" (1982) and "Tron: Legacy" (2010). He has also had notable roles in dramas like "The Contender" (2000) and "Hell or High Water" (2016).
