Biography:Lead singer of the 1970s punk band the Sex Pistols, Lydon has gone from causing moral panic to becoming something of a national icon since the heady days of the punk explosion.
With the band he penned singles such as "God Save the Queen" and "Anarchy in the U.K."
After the break-up of the Sex Pistols in 1978 Lydon formed a new band called Public Image Ltd.
