Biography:Lead guitarist and songwriter for influential American punk band the Ramones.
Ramone was one of the founding members of the band in Queens, New York in 1974. Band members all took the surname Ramone and weren't related.
The band played together for 22 years before disbanding in 1996. Now regarded as one of the all-time greats, the Ramones are the recipients of a Lifetime Grammy award and have also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
