Biography: Michelle Williams is an American actress who first gained recognition for her role in the television series "Dawson's Creek" (1998-2003) and has since transitioned to a highly successful film career.

Williams received critical acclaim for her performances in "Brokeback Mountain" (2005), "Blue Valentine" (2010), and "Manchester by the Sea" (2016), each of which earned her an Academy Award nomination. She later went on to star as Marilyn Monroe in "My Week with Marilyn" (2011), winning a Golden Globe for her performance, and afterwards played actress Gwen Verdon in "Fosse/Verdon" (2019).
