Biography: Widely regarded as one of the best filmmakers of his generation, Tarantino's popular career began with the success of Reservoir Dogs in 1992. The release of Pulp Fiction in 1994 boosted his career and the film was a major commercial and critical success.

Tarantino's highly stylized direction was showcased in the 2003-2004 release of Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2, which paid homage to Kung fu films, Japanese martial arts and Spaghetti Westerns. After directing 2007's Death Proof, Tarantino released his long-delayed Inglorious Basterds in 2009, which was highly successful.

The highest-grossing film of his career was Django Unchained, released in 2012, followed up by The Hateful Eight in 2015. Tarantino has received two Academy Awards and numerous other accolades, and is widely regarded to be the most influential director of his generation.
