Biography:Malek's breakthrough role as an actor was the television series Mr. Robot (2015-19), for which he received critical acclaim.
Prior to this his most notable roles were in the sitcom The War at Home (2005-07) and the miniseries The Pacific (2010).
In 2018 Malek portrayed Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. His performance received universal acclaim and he won several awards including the Academy Award for Best Actor. The film set worldwide all-time box office records for the biopic and drama genres.
