Biography: Satya Nadella is an Indian-American business executive who is the current CEO and Executive Chairman of Microsoft. He is the company's third CEO after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

Nadella was born in India in 1967. His mother taught Sanskrit and his father worked for the Indian government. Nadella studied electrical engineering in India and then moved to the United States where he earned a master's degree in computer science and an MBA.

Nadella worked at Sun Microsystems before joining Microsoft in 1992. At Microsoft, he held various leadership roles over the years, primarily working in cloud computing and business software.

In 2014, Nadella was selected as CEO of Microsoft, taking over from Steve Ballmer. As CEO, Nadella changed Microsoft's strategy and culture by focusing more on cloud computing and partnerships with other companies.

Under Nadella, Microsoft stock value has increased nearly ten times and the company has acquired several companies. Major purchases included LinkedIn in 2016 for $26.2 billion and GitHub in 2018 for $7.5 billion.

Nadella is married to Anupama Nadella and has three children. He had a son called Zain who was born with cerebral palsy, an experience which he said changed his life. Sadly Zain passed away in 2022 at the age of 26.
