Biography: Victoria Azarenka is the first Belarusian tennis player, male or female, to win a Grand Slam tournament singles title.

She was the World #1 ranked player for a period of 51 weeks in 2012. Azarenka has won 21 WTA singles titles, including two Grand Slam singles titles at the 2012 and 2013 Australian Open.

In mixed doubles, she won the 2008 French Open with Bob Bryan, and the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics with Max Mirnyi for Belarus.

Injury, pregnancy and personal issues interrupted her career 2014-17 but she has resumed successfully being a consistent top 20 ranked player.
