Biography: Viktor Orban was born in Hungary in 1963. He earned a law degree at Péter Pázmány Catholic University in Budapest. After the fall of communism in Hungary, Orban became active in politics. He was elected to Hungary's parliament in 1990 and served as the country's Prime Minister from 1998 to 2002.

Orban is a member of the conservative Fidesz party. He was re-elected as Prime Minister in 2010 and again in 2014. Under his leadership, Hungary has taken a hardline stance against immigration, particularly from Muslim countries. Orban has also been critical of the European Union and has worked to increase Hungary's autonomy within the bloc.

Orban is a divisive figure and his policies have drawn criticism from human rights groups and international organizations. He remains popular in Hungary, however, and his party has a strong majority in parliament.
