Behind FDR in the photo is Vice President Henry Wallace (left) and Speaker of the House Sam Rayburn (right).

To the right, in uniform in front of Rayburn, is Roosevelt's own son James, who escorted his father to the Capitol. James Roosevelt went on to serve in the Pacific with the Marine Raiders during World War II, a Marine Corps commando force.
