Biography:Alan Hale Jr. was an American actor best known for his role as Captain Jonas Grumby on Gilligan's Island (1964-1967) as well as its various television films and spin-off cartoon series.
Alongside his television work, Hale also starred in a large number of Westerns such as The Three Outlaws (1956), The Big Trees (1952), and The Long Rope (1961). He worked with names like Neville Brand, Kirk Douglas, and Hugh Marlowe.
