Biography: Dan O'Toole is a Canadian sports broadcaster best known for co-hosting SportsCentre with Jay Onrait. He has since successfully transitioned to a career in podcasting.

Initially pursuing broadcasting at Algonquin College, O'Toole started out calling games for the Ottawa 67s. In 1997, he worked in Vancouver reporting traffic, before transitioning to sports broadcasting in Fort McMurray. He joined CTV Edmonton in 2000.

In 2003, Dan O'Toole began at TSN, where he would co-host SportsCentre with Jay Onrait until 2013. Renowned for their humor, O'Toole and Onrait became popular figures in Canadian broadcasting.

After leaving TSN, O'Toole and Onrait worked at Fox Sports 1 in the United States from 2013 until 2017. They returned to TSN to host SC with Jay and Dan, continuing their signature style.

In February 2021, O'Toole was let go amid network cuts. Setting out subsequently as a podcaster, he had success with the "Jay and Dan Podcast" and launched his own, Boomsies!, in 2022.

O'Toole has three daughters and his cousin is Canadian politician Erin O'Toole.
